Life Stills Photography bio picture

Welcome to my blog.

What My Photography is About:

As a mother and a wife I know how precious
a picture that truly captures the spirit of your child is. However, chain studios don’t always do an adequate job of catching your child’s spark, and
not everyone is able to go out to a studio and have formal portraits taken. This
has become even more apparent to me through my years as an occupational
therapist working with infants and children with special needs.  Having a
passion for photography, I naturally began to think of ways I could combine that love with my love of working with
children of all capabilities into a business that would help me enable people
to truly capture the precious moments in their life.

I believe that no child should be prevented from
having quality pictures taken because they do not do well waiting their turn for
the photographer, because they don’t sit and pose well, because they get scared
in strange settings, because they have fragile immune systems and can’t be
exposed to outside germs, or because they have any other disability that makes a
studio impractical. And I feel that no mother should feel uncomfortable capturing her pregnancy with beautiful photos because she does not
feel comfortable baring her belly in a studio.

I believe that every
child is beautiful as they are and deserves to have pictures that reflect them
as the unique individuals they are. I will work hard to capture your child's spirit the way
you see them and the way you want to look back and remember these precious
times, in a way a chain studio never could.

A Beautiful Wedding

And, another 4 legged friend

What a little doll this puppy was.

Head Shots

I typically work mainly with children, but on occasion I do get to photograph adults.

Adorable at 6 months

I did the newborn shots for this little guy and this winter did 6 month ones as well.  They are such a wonderful family and I am so happy to be able to work with them.

Beautiful Sisters

These girls were just so well behaved and the sweetest little things!

AVA (a child of a different sort)

Doing some back posting

Usually I use the front page of my blog to post sneak peeks from recent sessions before they are fully processed and up in their galleries, but during my busy season I had gotten so very far behind.  So I would like to post a few from my Christmas sessions and from recent sessions this month.

So here are a few from my mini Christmas sessions.  I hosted them 3 weekends in a row in the end of November and the beginning of December.   They were short sessions that included the design of Christmas/holiday cards.  The sessions were a huge success and I can’t wait to run them again this year!

Happy New Year

Merry Christmas

Itty bitty Baby

My last session of the season.  Could I be any luckier than to get such a sweet itty bitty newborn.
